star Wire (HBO), Lance Reddick, 60 years oldhe died on Friday, his publicist reported.

Police were called to a home in the Valley Village neighborhood of Los Angeles, California around 9:30 a.m.

“The famous actor Lance Reddick died suddenly this morning. natural causes“, said her publicist Mia Hansen. “Lance will be greatly missed. Please respect your family’s privacy at this time.”

Reddick was best known for his role as Baltimore Police Lt. Cedric Daniels in the highly regarded HBO drama Wirewhich lasted from 2002 to 2008. More recently, Reddick played Charon in the film franchise john wick. The stars of the film were in the middle of a press tour for John Wick: Chapter 4 before its theatrical release on March 24.

Lance posted a selfie video on social media Wednesday morning, seemingly at home with his dogs instead of attending a movie premiere fuse 4 in New York… although he never mentioned why he wasn’t going to the premiere.

The following week he had an arranged guest appearance on the show Kelly Clarkson. He also had some unreleased projects in the works. He was set to play the Greek god Zeus in the upcoming series Disney+, Percy Jackson and the Olympians.

Reddick, from Baltimore, Maryland, also starred in the television series Resident Evil, Godzilla vs. Kong and One night in Miami.

Born and raised in Baltimore, Lance received his bachelor’s degree in music from the University of Rochester and his master’s degree from Yale. He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Reddick, and their children Yvonne Nicole and Christopher Reddick.
