Gloria Grahame had such complexes about the asymmetry of her lips that in order to optically enlarge the upper one, she wore a tampon between her lip and her teeth. Ingrid Bergman constantly thought her forehead was too low, so she shaved her hair an inch from her hairline. It seemed bigger then. Marlena Dietrech even went so far as to have her molars removed. All this to emphasize the cheekbones.
