Nursing allowance for seniors. Who will benefit?

Care allowance is available to seniors who are over 75 and people who are completely incapable of work and independent existence. Pensioners who meet the age criterion do not have to submit any applications, they are entitled to the supplement automatically. Persons incapable of work and independent existence may receive this benefit on the basis of a certificate issued by a ZUS evaluating doctor. 500 plus for seniors 2023. Who is entitled to the supplementary benefit?

The supplementary benefit for people incapable of independent existence, which is commonly referred to as 500 plus for a senior, can be used by persons over the age of 18 who are incapable of independent existence and are confirmed by a relevant certificate.

There is also an income criterion. People whose monthly income does not exceed PLN 1,657.80 gross will receive PLN 500 a month. Higher income, but not exceeding the limit, will reduce the benefit in accordance with the zloty for zloty principle. The condition is 18 years of age, and a certificate of incapacity for independent existence or total incapacity for work and independent existence is also required. It is necessary to submit an application to ZUS and attach the required judgment to it.

Honorary benefit 2023. One condition is enough

Upon reaching the age of 100, pensioners are automatically entitled to an honorary benefit. It is paid for life and in a fixed amount regardless of the old-age and disability pension. Its amount is not indexed. Persons who will turn 100 years old between March 1, 2023 and February 28, 2024 can count on an allowance of PLN 5,540.25 per month.

200 plus to retirement. Rescue benefit for firefighters and mountain rescuers

This is an allowance for seniors who worked as mountain rescuers or volunteer firemen. It is valid for life, and the application for its granting should be submitted to the poviat or city commander of the State Fire Service. It is granted to women over 60 who have served 20 years and men over 65 who have served at least 25 years, taking part in rescue operations at least once a year.
