Rihanna became the youngest woman to become a billionaire in the United States, dethroning 41-year-old Kim Kardashian. At 34, Rihanna has amassed a fortune of $1.4 billion dollars as a result of her nearly two-decade career.
Kim Kardashian, who in 2021 was named by Forbes as the youngest billionaire for her billion dollars, does not move away from the industry to which Rihanna is dedicated, fashion and beauty. Despite being catapulted to fame by her music, the majority of Rihanna’s money comes from her line of lingerie and cosmetics.
Savage X Fenty, the singer’s brand, may be undergoing a process to go public, which would value the company at $3 million. According to Bloomberg, the company would be working with banks Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley to fix a value, but so far no decision has been made.
Rihanna launched the Fenty Beauty brand in 2017 after putting her music career on hiatus. A year later, she expanded her business with Savage X Fenty, her lingerie line.
Rihanna, who became a mother in May of this year, is investing $270 million in Savage X Fenty, on top of the money she continues to receive from her musical success. The singer, originally from Barbados, started her career in 2003 when she was discovered by American producer Evan Rogers.
Def Jam Recordings, the production company to which they sent their first singles, was chaired by Jay-Z, who became one of Rihanna’s loves. Currently the singer is engaged to the father of her son, ASAP Rocky.
Her first single, Pon de Replay, released in May 2005, reached number two on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Her first three albums, Music of the Sun, A Girl Like Me, and Good Girl Gone Bad, were released on consecutive years. (AND)
