The readers of this magazine have granted this recognition to the work in which Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi they narrated the life and death of Cristina Ortiz, one of the most important LGTBi icons in our country.
Javier Calvo wanted to dedicate this award to one of the protagonists of the series, Isabel Torres, who precisely this Monday he said goodbye to his followers on social networks announcing that he had two months to live. “This award today goes to Isabel Torres, who has made an unforgettable character. Now she is fighting cancer and, well, this is for you,” he said from the stage.
For his part, Javier Ambrossi recalled that when they began to create this series they wanted it to be a work that “It will show that LGBT stories are not niche, they are human, and they belong to everyone”. For him, this award “shows that this is the case.”
This documentary series stars three actresses who play La Veneno at different stages of her life: Isabel Torres, Daniela Santiago and Jedet. It has been produced by Atresmedia TV in collaboration with BuendÃa Estudios and Suma Latina and with the associated production of Apache Films.
