The 95th award ceremony will take place on the night of Sunday 12 March to Monday 13 March. The feta will start at 2 p.m. Polish time, and on Gazeta.pl’s home page we will be covering the event live. However, before the verdicts of the jury are announced, a large part of this year’s Oscar-nominated films can be seen at home via various streaming services.
Oscar 2023. Which Oscar movies can be watched online? Where to watch?
The Oscar gala will be broadcast in Poland by Canal + – the ceremony will be broadcast both on Canal + Premium and on CANAL + online. The broadcast of the event will be preceded by a half-hour report from the red carpet – the whole thing will start at 1.30 am and will last until 5 am.
Apart from the direct message from the Oscar gala Channel+ also offers its users access to a number of productions nominated this year. First of all, on the Canal + premieres service you can watch, among others Polish candidate for the Oscar for the best foreign film, i.e. the latest work of director Jerzy Skolimowski – “IO”. In addition, on the same page, viewers will also find “Top Gun: Maverick”. Let us remind you that this is a continuation of the production that launched Tom Cruise’s career after almost 40 years. It was nominated in six categories, including Best Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Special Effects.
Pixar animation is also on the list “It’s not a panda” (also available on Disney+) and “Miss Harris’ Paris”. The latter is a costume comedy-drama starring Lesley Manville and Isabelle Huppert. The action takes place in Paris in the 1950s, and the plot tells the story of a widowed cleaner who decides to get the coveted Dior dress. The nomination came for best costumes. We will also watch on Canal+ “Elivsa” (nominations for the best leading male role, best production design, editing, make-up, sound and costumes), “Batman” with Robert Pattinson (nominations for make-up, sound and special effects).

Amazon Prime Video offers access to the loud “Everything everywhere at once.” This picture is nominated in the categories “Best Picture”, “Best Actress”, “Best Supporting Actor”, “Best Supporting Actress” (twice!), “Best Director”, “Best Original Screenplay”, “Best Original Score”, “Best Song”, “Best Costumes” and “Best Editing”. He is considered one of the biggest favorites of the evening, and so far he has collected most of the awards at industry galas. We will also find there production inspired by real events “Argentina, 1985”, directed by Santiago Miter. The film tells the story of prosecutors Julio Strassera and Luis Moreno Ocampo, who dared to oppose the bloody military dictatorship.
Apple TV+ users may include a nominated “Best Supporting Actor” film “Bridge”, which was directed by Lila Neugebauer. “Jennifer Lawrence stars as Lynsey, a soldier trying to get a handle on her life after returning to New Orleans after a traumatic accident. When Lynsey meets local mechanic James, the two forge an unexpected bond,” reads the synopsis. On the same platform, viewers will find an animated short film “Boy, Mole, Fox and Horse”.
“Top Gun: Maverick” this is a special case. The painting is also available online as part of the rental option. This means that you have to pay extra for access to the title, and the video link will only be active for a short time. The latest production with Tom Cruise can be watched for 14.99 on Apple TV+ and, for example, on YouTube for PLN 17. On Player.pl, you have to pay PLN 18 for renting a production. On Chilli, the rental costs 14.90, and on Sky ShowTime the film is available on a subscription basis.
