We have bad news for those who are eagerly waiting for spring to arrive. Than Askan bring with them arctic air. It is its appearance that is responsible for the cooling of the whole of Poland. Low temperatures will accompany us for some time yet.
Weather forecast for Monday and Tuesday
Monday, March 6, will be cloudy throughout Poland. There may be showers of snow and rain. The daily temperature will range from zero to 4 degrees Celsius. In turn, at night it will drop to as low as -5 degrees.
On Tuesday, March 7, we can expect more clear spells in the north of the country. There will likely be some snowfall in the west. It will be warmest in the southwest. In these parts of the country, the temperature will be up to 6 degrees Celsius.
IMGW warns
In the second half of the week, our country will be under the influence of the Askan low. This will result in increased snowfall and strong winds. According to forecasters, on Tuesday and Wednesday, due to the wind, there may be alarms for two provinces:
- West Pomeranian;
- and Pomeranian.
In these regions of Poland, the wind will reach speeds of up to 90 km/h. It is worth mentioning that in Due to strong winds on the coast, the Vistula Lagoon, the Gulf of Gdańsk and Żuławy, the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) also issued first degree hydrological warnings.
