She was born in 1964 in Kołobrzeg. Before she decided to take part in a beauty contest, she worked as a teacher at the NBP Children’s Sanatorium in Dźwirzyno. Were it not for the sister who helped in the elections in Koszalin, Monika Nowosadko would not have taken part in the competition. Finally, she gave in to the persuasions and applied for the voivodeship qualifiers. She had successive successes and finally reached the finals. As she herself recalled, the situation behind the scenes was extremely tense. The specific atmosphere was additionally fueled by press reports, which clearly indicated the favorites in the competition.
On July 31, 1987, the Miss Polonia final took place. The result was announced on the stage at the Forest Opera in Sopot. The Miss title went to Monika Nowosadko. – Surprise, joy and happiness as well as envious glances of disappointed participants – in 2009. Monika defeated the favorite, Bogna Sworowska. A few hours later, however, the controversy began. Two jurors were supposed to vote differently, there were suggestions of manipulation. – On the same evening, a strong protest was lodged by the ladies of the jury, who reportedly voted differently than it was recorded in the protocol. A sensation of course! Very sad for me – Nowosadko. She was asked a lot of questions, it was even suggested that she influenced the verdict of the judges. The rumor took on a life of its own.

After winning the Miss Polonia contest, Monika Nowosadko took part in the Miss World contest. In the end, she took fourth place and became the third runner-up. – This news was received kindly in the country, finally the verdict of the Miss Polonia 1987 election in Sopot was no longer questioned – she recalled years later. In 1988, she also took part in the Miss Europe pageant, becoming the first runner-up.
After winning, she signed a contract with an agency in Milan. She traveled the world, but after some time she came to the conclusion that this is not the right job for her. She missed her family and friends. She ended her modeling career and got a job at a computer company. Today, she lives a quiet life with her husband and has three children. – I have what I have always dreamed of in my life, I feel fulfilled and I do not miss the publicity and fame associated with show business. I don’t need it,” she admitted.
