These seniors can count on an additional PLN 200 every month. This applies to people who performed a specific function
The first group of seniors who can count on additional money every month and for life are firefighters from the Volunteer Fire Brigade and mountain rescuers. If they performed these functions for 25 years in the case of men or 20 years in the case of women, actively participated in rescue operations (at least one a year) and reached the required retirement age, they will receive an additional PLN 200 to the pension every month. For this purpose, they must submit an application to the city or district fire chief, and the benefit will be paid by ZER MSWiA.
500 plus for a senior. From March 1, a higher threshold applies
The 500 plus supplement for seniors, although the name indicates otherwise, is a benefit that can be claimed by every person who has turned 18 and is incapable of independent existence, and the other benefits do not exceed PLN 2,157.80. Importantly, it is not always equal to PLN 500. People who:
- receive for other benefits up to PLN 1,657.80 will receive the full amount,
- receive from PLN 1,657.80 to PLN 2,157.80 under other benefits must take into account a lower amount.
500 plus for a senior is paid on application, which must be accompanied by appropriate documentation confirming the state of health. You get them monthly and for life.
The Mama+ benefit is up to PLN 1,500 a month. However, there is one snag
Particularly noteworthy is the Mama 4+ benefit, which can be received by both mothers and fathers. It concerns:
- women over 60 who raised four or more,
- men over 65 who raised at least 4 children because their mother died, abandoned them or did not participate in their lives for a long time.
How much money will parents receive? If:
- they do not receive any benefit, it will be PLN 1,588.44, i.e. the amount of the minimum pension from March 1,
- receive a benefit, but lower than the minimum, the supplement will complete this amount, i.e. if your pension is now PLN 1,000, you can count on PLN 588.44 on this account.
