The Spencer family mansion is located more than a hundred kilometers from London, in the county of Northamptonshire.
Earl Spencer, brother of the late Diana of Wales, turned down an offer from the series The Crown, about the life of the British royal family, in which they asked him to record in the family mansion -Althorp-, as he admitted in an interview released this Monday by the chain BBC.
“They requested it. They wanted to record here. But I don’t do this kind of thing. I honestly don’t see The Crown so I said thank you, but no ”commented Charles Spencer.
The house is located more than a hundred kilometers from London, in the county of Northamptonshire (northern England). Hundreds of people come every year to see Diana’s tomb, which is on a small island within the spacious gardens of the house.
The producers of the series, which is broadcast by the Netflix platform, are filming the fifth season of the historical drama.
The first chapters of this new season will premiere in November 2022, as confirmed by the actress of the series, Imelda Staunton, who plays Queen Elizabeth II, last September in a video on the Netflix YouTube channel.
The fourth season ended in the nineties, after the Government of British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher (in power between 1979 and 1990), however it is still unknown what time this fifth season of the series will cover. (AND)
