The band was founded in 1994 and initially the singers functioned under the name Touch. It was made up of five young talented singers: Geri Halliwell, Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm, Victoria Adams and Emma Bunton. Just two years later, they signed a contract with the label and started working on their debut album. They promoted it with the single “Wannabe”, which conquered the charts in as many as 37 countries around the world. Shortly afterwards, the album “Spice” was released on the phonographic market, which sold 31 million copies, making the formation a worldwide phenomenon.
Although they were incredibly successful, they ended their cooperation in 2000. Later, they tried to return to the stage several times, the last time in 2018, but eventually gave up on reactivating their careers.
