Despite the fact that betting on inclusion triggered the censorship of the film in fourteen countries, Disney once again opts for the representation of the LGBTI + community, and stronger than ever, with the release of a fragment of a strange world (Strange World) at the Annecy Animation Festival, in France. The American company let its audience know that this new feature film will have an openly gay teen romance.

“Representation matters,” wrote Matthieu Saghezchi on his Twitter account. He is an Emmy award-winning animation production designer. “The scene describes that the son is very shy in front of the boy in love with him, and his father arrives and says: ‘Nice to meet you! My son talks about you all the time,’ and it embarrasses his son even more. Very cute,” he added.
