The Mandalorians. What happened in previous seasons? summary
Before the screening of the third season of The Mandalorian, it is worth remembering the events of the previous series. Warning – there will be spoilers. The series is set five years after Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi. So we observe the world after the fall of the Empire, but before the birth of the First Order known from the latest trilogy. The title character of the series is Din Djarin (), a bounty hunter who gets an unusual mission.
So far, a lonely Mandalorian takes care of a Child endowed with power. His origin and abilities are also a mystery to the new guardian. Djarin feels a bond with the baby, so he does not intend to give it into the wrong hands, which is why he soon becomes the most wanted person in space, and more hunters try to take the baby away from him. The Mandalorian, realizing that Baby Yoda may have connotations with the Jedi Order, decides to find other Mandalorians to help him find someone to take care of his little companion.

At the end of the second season, we learn that the Mandalorian’s green friend is named Grogu. He was saved from Anakin Skywalker’s slaughter in the Jedi Temple. Known from the Star Wars universe, Ashoka Tano notices that Baby Yoda is too attached to his guardian, advises Din to contact another Jedi in order to train a child endowed with a dangerous power.
Djarin also encounters Bob Fett, who demands the return of traditional Mandalorian armor in exchange for helping protect Grog. Soon, the baby is kidnapped by Moff Gideon, the leader of the remnants of the Empire, who is working with Dr. Pershing. The latter, in turn, uses Grogu’s genetic material for mysterious medical purposes. The process is interrupted by Mando, who, along with the rest of his comrades, takes over the enemy shuttle. In their mission to save Grog, they are unexpectedly helped by Luke Skywalker, whom the child contacted through the power.

Interestingly, although the Disney series is quite new, the producers have already announced its next spin-off – the series about the adventures of Ahsoka, which is to debut on Disney Plus in 2023.
The Mandalorian 3. What do we know about the new season of the popular Disney Plus series?
Trailers for the third season of “The Mandalorian” promise many action scenes. Din Djarin returns to the destroyed planet Mandalore, where he will face more enemies. Bo-Katan, Greef Karga, Dr. Pershing, Peli Motto and Grog, who never leaves Din.
In the season we will see a large group of representatives of the Mandalorians. The trailer questions Din about who the helmeted wanderers really are and what they’re fighting for. These excerpts and interviews with the creators confirm theories circulating on the web that the next episodes of the series will focus on explaining the culture in which the main character was raised. The teaser of the new season also suggests that Din will lead a group of his countrymen.

The reason for Din’s return to Mandalore will probably be his desire to redeem himself and prove that he deserves to be called Mandalorian. For the Keeper of Grog broke the Custom by taking off his helmet in the presence of strangers. Din must find the source of the Living Waters.
The presence of Doctor Pershing in the announcement heralds the expansion of the plot of experiments on Grog. For now, we know that the genetic material of the child, injected into Gideon’s subordinates, killed them after some time. However, fans of the series are asking themselves, is this how the leader of the fallen Empire wants to strengthen his army? Or maybe it has to do with the theories about the cloning of Emperor Palpatine?
The most widely commented scene from the announcement of the new season of “The Mandalorian” was the one in which we see Grog’s memories awakened thanks to training under the supervision of Luke Skywalker. In them, the child witnesses an attack on the Jedi temples, which may mean the appearance of Darth Vader in the series. In the next episodes of the series, we can also receive from the creators the return to the screens of the 501st Legion of Clones and find out how the little boy survived the Jedi slaughter.
