In less than a month he will touch the Ecuadorian soil with his bare feet, and that’s it for the Colombian singer Camilo Echeverry the stage is a sacred place that must be felt without shoes. The interpreter of themes such as Tutu, Ambulance, Pegao, Rich Life and others will visit Ecuador to offer two concerts, the first in Quito (March 18) and the second in Guayaquil (March 19).
In an interview with EL UNIVERSO, the artist stated that he is excited to meet again one of the first countries that opened the doors for his international projection. Ensures that your shows They will be loaded with special surprises ranging from the staging to their performance. “Every detail has its reason for being”says the singer-songwriter.
He claims his wife Evaluna Montaner, will accompany you on this tour Inside out, and together they will sing songs like Machu Picchu for the first time And Indigo.
The first time in Guayaquil and the second time in Quito, what illusion will make you return to Ecuador?
Very much looking forward to meeting the ‘tribe’ of Ecuador again and be able to share this new show which we have prepared with a lot of love. Ever since I can remember I dreamed of traveling to different countries and playing my music and still, after almost two years of touring in different parts of the world, I feel that emotion to be able to look the ‘tribe’ in the eye and see their smile. It is a gift that I value very much.
We know that curiosity is part of you. Which dish from this country would you like to try?
Last time I was there I didn’t have enough time to discover the dishes I want to try, I hope to do that during this visit.
The Adentro Pa’ Afuera is the name of your ‘tour’, what does this phrase refer to?
Inside out It’s the name of my third album and it’s a blog of the precious things that are inside of me and coming out to share. I want people to listen to the album and come to the concerts feel that they are doors to new chambers of the beings that are all your sensitivity. There are times when we are not sure that we are capable of certain emotions and we just need a key to open the door to that new feeling. Sometimes those keys are songs and I like to think that mine can guide the ‘tribe’ to these new places.
What awaits your Ecuadorian ‘tribe’ during these two concerts?
I love this show because I remember the moment when we started to make it, to achieve the perfect order of the songs, the images that would accompany them, the emotions that I wanted to provoke, and after many hours and effort we managed to make it into translate real life. Every detail has its raison d’être and to see how the audience has reacted in every place we’ve performed is a satisfaction that’s hard to describe in words. The main engine of this show is the ‘tribe’, It’s for them and for them I’m still here.

What will the staging be like? There will be surprises?
Yes, there will be surprises and as I said in the previous question, every element of the stage, production and editing is designed to evoke emotions in the people who come to see us.
He used to go on stage barefoot and on a woven carpet. Does singing barefoot have any meaning to you?
The stage is my sacred place and I feel weird wearing shoes. I need to feel grounded.
Some of your songs are duets with Evaluna, will Ecuador get a chance to see them sing on stage together?
Evaluna joins me on the tour and we share the stage and of course she will be in Ecuador. It’s my favorite part of it show.
A child who dreams in a big body

When he was barely 13 years old, he took first place in the reality X Factor In Columbia; her charm and voice captivated from the first moment. Some fourteen years later he won four Latin Grammys, Her first Youth Prizetheir just wages Lo Nuestro Awards, some out of stock through some of the cities he has visited worldwide and recently won a golden seagull in Viña del Mar.
The same child who sweetened the ears in 2007 with a song by Sui Generis, today conquers the world with his records. My hands for the first time And inside out. And it is that he has always made it clear that he makes music out of illusion and each of his songs is a little corner of who he is.
He has impressively connected with the audience. Have you ever been afraid of all this fame or have you experienced some form of self-sabotage?
Well, what I can tell you is that I am without a doubt living the best moment of my life, and I wouldn’t change anything for fear of something changing. Maybe I could have felt it at some point, I don’t know, but I know every chapter of my life has led me here and made me the man I am.
Camilo can’t keep his dreamy soul. How does it feel to work with artists you’ve admired all your life?
Sometimes I see who I’ve been blessed to work with and I can’t believe it… Of all the artists I’ve worked with, I treasure the fact that I can call them friends, because the songs are symptoms of something bigger than friendship with those who are made. So I keep valuable stories with each of them about the concept of the songs, about the shooting of the videos, about how we were able to share them live. It’s the most beautiful part of my job and profession, collecting experiences with great people.

What is it like to work with Ricardo Montaner?
Montaner is a model artist to me. He inspires me every day, because he was able to build an immense, long, healthy, precious, quality career, but without sacrificing his greatest work: his family. That is his greatest achievement.
recently released Moderation with JP Saxe, one of his favorite composers. Another dream come true?
Certainly. I’ve admired JP for years, studied him, wanted to work with him, and what I’ve found in him is greater than I imagined. Now he’s not only one of my favorite singer-songwriters in the whole world, he’s my friend.
Do you have a ritual when composing? What are your creative moments like?
I try to let creativity go at its own pace, without interfering too much with its course… I am the instrument. My ritual is to empty myself, make me quiet and still so that creativity can write its story.

The latest video clips are directed by your wife, what about this experience?
All my videos are directed by my wife and I feel very comfortable with her. He knows me, guides me in every way and we had a great time in the process. Aside from that, I love his creativity when it comes to creating the story of every video he makes. I feel a deep pride in her.
What does the ‘tribe’ mean to Camilo?
The bond I’ve had with the ‘tribe’ from the very beginning is honest and their support has been instrumental in my career. Sharing our lives with so many people who wish us happiness and love is very special to us. The tribe and I are one, a beautiful community that continues to grow.
