With an urban and danceable soundthe Ecuadorians Willie (William Munoz) and Zaly (Juan Manuel Suquilanda) present their most recent collaboration: hypnotize mehis proposal to let his audience enjoy themselves, especially on this carnival holiday.

This is my first collaboration with another national artist, so I’m happy to present this song to you.”Willie responded for this newspaper via Zoom.

The subject It came to Zaly’s mind three years ago, but it was put away during the pandemic. “I compose all kinds of music, from techno to cumbia, as you can see, and I had this subject in our file, but I saw that the song was tailored to Willy’s style, but then he asked me to do a collaboration, because initially I would only be the composer, but I thank Willy for the chance to work on this song and the result was incredible. He put his style in and the theme was very coolZaly remembered.

The song feeds on elements of cumbia, urban pop and reggaeton. “Now music can no longer be classified in one genre,” continues Zaly. “When someone asks me what kind of music I make, I always answer ‘Zaly style’ because I feel inspiration comes from everywhere and we humans don’t limit ourselves to one kind of music or one kind of movie because sometimes we want to see comedy and the next day we want to see romance, and the same goes for music. I think sometimes feelings and rhythms have to merge to make something authentic, something unique”.

Willy agrees: It is important that an artist is comprehensive and does not get stuck in one niche, so to speak, but that we can show different facets, different styles to your audience, who is who follows you and who positions you”.

With this release the duo aims for an audience of different ages, but also to become the inevitable theme at parties. “We released the theme for Valentine’s Day this year, but it lends itself to other occasions as well.”
