In 2022, the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg assessed that the judgment violated the provision guaranteeing the right to express an opinion. Poland appealed against this decision. Today we know that she had no chance against Doda.

By the decision of the second instance, the first judgment in the case was found to be correct, and Poland must pay the singer almost PLN 50,000 in damages. The case was commented on by attorney Dariusz Raczkiewicz in an interview with “Super Express”.

The first decision was made in September 2022. After several years, the court, composed of seven judges, decided that our claim was justified. Interestingly, there was only one vote that disagreed with the entire verdict. And it was a judge from Poland – he says.

The attorney emphasizes that the justification of the judgment consisted of 60 pages and was extremely detailed. However, the Polish government still questioned the ruling and decided to appeal the decision.

An appeal against the judgment was received in Strasbourg on 15 December. The court of second instance was obliged to consider this appeal. We reacted negatively to it. The case was considered by the Great Chamber. Only after several dozen days, a ruling was made that is completely in our favor – concludes Raczkiewicz.
