Jolanta Brzozowska worked in an office in Warsaw’s Tarchomin. “Osa” made an appointment with her, claiming to be a girl looking for a job. She brought two colleagues with her, and when Jola started interviewing, the first blow to the head fell.

The blow was delivered by one of the men, but the crime was quickly joined by another of his colleagues. They stabbed Jolanta several times with a knife, hit her over the head with a baseball bat, and hit her with a chair leg. They stole PLN 400, two phones, jewelry and pagers. They left the tortured Jolanta in the office and carelessly went for a pizza. Why did young people commit such a cruel crime?
“Osa”, “Yogi” and “Dove” were in the class. They were getting ready for which they really wanted to go, but they needed money, among other things, for drugs. They were wondering how to get the cash. They finally decided to steal. The choice fell on the company “Abigel”, where one of them distributed crossword puzzles. They worked out the robbery plan in detail and prepared knives, baseball bats and a chair leg. They also purchased plasters to cover the peepholes in the doors of neighbors in the building. “Wasp” was to enter the interview and pretend to be a job candidate. At the agreed sign, the boys were to attack Jolanta Brzozowska. During the trial, “Osa” was to testify that she deliberately prolonged the moment of saying the slogan because she felt sorry for this woman.

They tortured Jola. Then they went for pizza
The boys finally gave up. “Dove” was the first to enter the room and suddenly hit Brzozowska in the head. Initially, “Jogi” was not to react, but later joined his friend. Jola Brzozowska received 12 stab wounds. According to “Gołąb”, he abused the victim, sticking a knife into Jolanta’s skull like a screwdriver. When her colleagues tortured the woman, “Osa” searched the cabinets. Young people stole, among other things, PLN 400, telephones and jewelry. They took “Osa’s” application documents and left the building. They sold some of the jewelry to the fencer right away, and then went out for pizza.
Although “Wasp” did not strike a blow, she was found guilty of murder. She became the first woman sentenced to life imprisonment
On the same day, the police began looking for the murderers, but they did not reach the high school graduates until a month later. The youngsters were careless and the police finally traced the messages sent via the stolen pager. “Jogi” was the only one who pleaded guilty and testified against his friends. In the end, “Osa” and “Gołąb” admitted that they had participated in the robbery, but believed that they were not guilty of the murder. “It’s hard for me to talk about it, I didn’t contribute to this woman’s death. I know I’m sorry is a small word – said “Osa”. The killers’ lawyers applied for a lower sentence due to the young age of the perpetrators, but in March 1998 the court sentenced the perpetrators to life imprisonment. “Osa” became the first woman to be punished with the highest penalty. She was only 21 when she was convicted.
