This is a difficult speech that I have been asked to make here today. I was supposed to talk about femininity, who a woman is in the world of film (…) I was a sexual object for men, an object of jealousy for women, but I was also an object of violence. I say this as a strong mature woman who no longer has to prove anything and is comfortable in her own skin.

When martial law was in force in Poland, the actress refused to play the role of a drug addict humiliated by men. Then she heard that she would never play in a Polish film again. When she became pregnant, it was suggested to her that she should think about it and choose either the role of a mother or the profession of an actress. The situation did not change when she gave birth either. She then heard that it was the end of her career. During her speech, she also touched on the situations that happened to her during her career in Hollywood. Figura admitted that she suffered the most from women, especially because she was Polish.
