The orchid needs the right amount of sun. Remember, however, that it should not directly touch the heated glass. It is also worth turning the orchid from time to time so that it does not overheat. The optimum temperature for an orchid is 23 degrees during the day, 18-20 at night and 27-28 on sunny days. These flowers definitely prefer a humid climate, so you can improve their health by maintaining proper air circulation in the room. The orchid should be watered once a week in summer, once every two weeks in winter.

Watering the orchid. It’s better to dry it than to pour it

You can water the orchid traditionally, but you have to make sure that the water does not stay at the bottom of the stand. Excessive watering will cause the plant to die. If you notice yellow leaves and rotting roots, stop watering the orchid for a few weeks. The best method of watering orchids is bathing. Place the container with the flower in a bowl of water for about 15 minutes. After this time, let the substrate drain and pour excess water from the base.

Homemade method of fertilizing orchids. You need this fruit

Instead of spending money on special nutrients, create fertilizer for orchids. You need a few banana peels for this. They are a source of phosphorus, calcium and potassium. They will nourish the plant perfectly. Put the peels in a jar and fill them halfway with water. After a few days, water the orchids with the resulting mixture. You can also cut the skins into small pieces and mix them with the orchid substrate.
