In an interview with the website, Wojciech Adamczyk revealed the backstage of “”. The director talked about working with actors, as well as about artists who did not want to appear in the series at all.

Artur Barciś did not want to play in “Ranch”. Why did he change his mind?

As it turns out, Artur Barci¶ initially rejected the role of Czerepach. he did not want to form a duo with Cezary Żak again. The director knew, however, that the actor fits like a glove to the character of the “intelligent bully”. “We couldn’t imagine anyone else in the role,” admitted Adamczyk.

Barciś brought a lot of his own ideas into the creations. His initiative made the hero wear a toupee and slightly lisp. The director admitted that he did not remember how he convinced Barciś to accept the job, but fortunately he managed to change his approach.

Kusy and Lucy were to be played by other actors. The director had other favourites

Before the castings, Wojciech Adamczyk had plans to give the role of Lucy to an actress other than Ilona Ostrowska. However, the man did not want to reveal who he meant. The director changed his mind after the first audition of the actress. – I immediately fell artistically in love with her. I knew that she had to play Lucy (…) By the way, late. Paweł Królikowski was also not our first choice – admitted Adamczyk.

Before the role of Kusy went to Paweł Królikowski, it was offered to three other actors. Although the artist did not fit the original description of the character, the director decided to engage him. Adamczyk admitted that Królikowski’s inner warmth radiated from the TV screens. According to the director, women were crazy about Kusy, not because he was beautiful, but because he was a “real guy”.
