The British Academy of Film and Television has once again paid tribute this Sunday to the best of cinema from last year. The Bafta awards They have turned 76 in a very close edition where three favorites were indicated. ‘No news at the front’ was the most nominations accumulated. Two more than’Banshees by Inisherin‘ and ‘Everything at once everywhere‘, two titles that compiled 10 categories each.

Thus, the gala was disputed between the experience of a young German in the First World War, the sudden end of a friendship and life in the metaverse. But this was not all, because the battle to win the ‘mask’ for ‘Best Actress’ was also very much in mind. A battle in which participated Ana de Armas. But the batons were aimed at cate blanchett as the winner for her role as a famous conductor in Tár, the Todd Field film. Of course, within the connoisseurs there was a percentage that opted for Emma Thompson, who is recognized for his work in ‘Good luck, Big Leo’. There she played a mature woman who rediscovered her sexuality.

In the masculine, things were more at odds between Austin Butlerfor playing ‘Elvis’, Colin Farrel for interpreting the end of a friendship in ‘Bannished Souls in Inisherin’, and brendan fraser, for his acclaimed performance in ‘The Whale’. Several of these titles were repeated in the also hard-fought race for ‘Best Film’: ‘Elvis’, by Australian Baz Luhrmann; ‘Everything at once everywhere’, by Dan Kwan and Daniel Scheinert; ‘Tár’, directed by Todd Field; ‘All Quiet on the Front’ by Edward Berger and, of course, ‘The Banshees on Inisherin’ by Martin McDonagh.
