Shakira nailed it on her ex and she’s got a hit. The producers asked the Polish duo for a new version

Shakira has recently become famous thanks to her viral song in which she deals with her ex-partner, footballer Gerard Pique. The song has already been viewed 320 million times within a month, and now its version is presented by the most famous Polish duo of electronic music in the world – Catz ‘n Dogz. It turns out that the team of the song’s producer sought cooperation with the guys.

Shakira parted ways with Gerard Pique in June 2022, but until the release of the song “Bzpr 53” she did not speak about it. She decided to use music to deal with her former partner, who is currently dating 23-year-old Clara Chia. This and other antics of the footballer do not escape the attention of the artist, who directly points out his behavior.

The Polish duo created a remix of Shakira’s viral song

The Colombian singer released the song “Bzrp 53” in collaboration with Argentinian DJ and music producer Bizarrap. The song is a diss directed at the singer’s former partner, which made her go viral very quickly. Internet users very often sent it to each other via social media, and radio stations began to play it on the wave of popularity.

Now the Catz ‘N Dogz group, i.e. Wojtek Tarańczuk and Grzegorz Demiańczuk, has released its version. Guys are one of the most recognizable Polish export duos from Poland and have already had the opportunity to cooperate with Bizarrap, remixing one of his earlier songs. Now it turns out that he asked the DJs to cooperate:

This time it was their crew who called us to do a remix, we had to say yes!

Vojtek and Greg later say that what they wanted most was to turn up the sound of the song as an anthem of strong women, mentioning a fragment of the song’s lyrics: “Las mujeres ya no lloran las mujeres facturan” (translation: women don’t cry, women invoice). That’s why the remix is so much darker than the original.

Last fall, we had the opportunity to interview Catz ‘n Dogz, in which we talked about their latest album. The conversation also turned to the presence of their music in radio stations, to which the guys replied that Polish radio stations had not discovered them yet. It is possible that thanks to this remix everything will change, because the original version of the song is eagerly played on the Polish airwaves.
