“Sweet dreams… I hope you don’t scare you off,” reads the text accompanying the latest publication of the young contortionist and now action actress Skye Cowton, 9 years old. In the video, he demonstrated the skills that some time later gave him a decisive role in the final episode of the series. Although Skye’s face is not recognizable on screen, courtesy of the cordyceps, viewers found her terrifying. The show’s director, Craig Mazin, has said so by introducing the character wanted to demonstrate the cruelty of the world through the presence of infected children.
When it turns out that no one can reach Ellie in her hiding place (a car), in the middle of a fight led by Kathleen (Melanie Lynskey) against the Infected, someone does: little Skye slips through the window and shocks the protagonist and the audience with her appearance that is at once frail and eerie.

Fans were used to adult clickers, but the directors decided to employ a small one, which would perhaps be part of one of the underground communities discussed in recent chapters. Part of the horror is heightened by the fact that this time the monster is a zombified girl, who never grew up. Ellie, if she wasn’t immune to the fungus, she would have met the same fate.
Plus, Cowton’s abilities make him even more impressive. He bends all the way back before plunging into Ellie, climbing and jumping onto the car seats.
Ellie escapes, but that doesn’t mean the little girl is any less deadly. His next move is one of the strongest in episode 5 of The last of us.
Skye Belle Cowton is a Canadian artistic gymnast and dancer., and according to the producers, she was not intimidated by the scenes in which she was involved. “She was waving in the air, on a wire, in the middle of the night, screaming, ‘Great!'” Melanie Lynskey said of the little girl, who turned out to be her character’s nemesis.
