In Ant-Man and the Wasp: QuantumaniaMarvel Studios manages to trigger one of its perhaps most underrated heroes a new phase of movies and series that promises more complex and unexpected storylines reminiscent of the fantastic Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021), with guests — who may arrive in the future — from various places. Fans are well aware that with the multiverse and open timelines, all boundaries between movies and series are permanently erased.
But despite being a bond that serves as the cornerstone of many future stories, Quantumania manages to keep the fun, warmth and simplicity that made us fall in love with Scott Lang’s (Paul Rudd) character in the first place (ant man2015).
This is how the audience will find the first minutes a Scott finally relaxed and content with the life he built after saving the world (as he keeps repeating) with The Avengers (Avengers: endgame2019).
although that state of comfort and calm disgusts his now teenage daughter, Cassie (Kathryn Newton).who has inherited his father’s heroic spirit and seeks his own battle. “Just because something doesn’t happen to you doesn’t mean it won’t happen”exclaims the young woman who also shows a keen interest in science, and causes (as seen in the preview) that his entire family is dragged into the quantum realm, a universe with its own territories and characters.
In his third film, Paul Rudd continues to view being a part of Marvel Studios as “unreal”: “There’s nothing extraordinary about Scott and I like that about playing him”

Once there, it will be time to the revelations that will mainly come from Janet van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer), who was accidentally trapped in that dimension for decades until she was rescued by her family (Ant-Man and the Wasp2018).
And though we always want to be on the side of the hero, the appearance of Kang, the conqueror (the villain of this phase, played by Jonathan Majors) it is hypnotic. Far from the noisy frenzy that usually dominates other opponents, Kang is patient (even cordial) and with the confidence of someone who knows he is extraordinary. Is there anything scarier than that attitude?
The writers at Marvel Studios they have discovered the appeal of their villains and the formula to amplify that darkness.

Shot He will find in his family the strength and his greatest motivation to continue to a remarkable result to which we – we’re sure – will want to return several times (and perhaps invite our hero to take a different path?). It’s the question that Marvel Studios is leaving open are followers who will also be moved by the two post-credits scenes that the 2 hours and 5 minutes production brings.
If we can expect anything, that’s it there’s a lot, a lot of Kang, with the impressive Jonathan Majors.
