The Netflix streaming platform has notified its subscribers in Ecuador of a measure that will “affect” them as it moves forward with its plans to eliminate the ability to share accounts outside the same home.
Via an email titled “You’ll soon pay less for Netflix,” the platform announced that it’s updating the pricing of its plans and decided that each plan’s next billing would be reduced, though it began rolling out from the 13 February.

The platform has three types of subscriptions in Ecuador:
The three plans have different features in terms of image and sound quality. Users pay now:

The discount of the first plan is 37.5%; the second, 27.3% and the third, 21.44%.
To these values you must add the tax on digital services in Ecuador, which is 12% of the final price.
