These Pączki w Tłuszcz are perfect for Fat Thursday. You won’t gain an ounce

The band Pączki w Tłuszczu was founded on the basis of the popular series “39 ​​and a half” and has been active on the Polish music scene for over a decade. They release songs, give concerts and have no urge to buy glass.

Before they decided to conquer the Polish music scene, they made their debut in the series . Thanks to a one-time performance for the production, the idea of ​​​​creating your own band was born. On the occasion of Fat Thursday, get to know the history of the Pączki w Tłuszcz band.

Donuts in fat. The series “39 ​​and a half” was the inspiration to start the band

The band Pączki w Tłuszczu was founded on the initiative of an actor, Tomasz Karolak, who played one of the main roles in the series. He invited the composer and guitarist, Bartosz Miecznikowski, to cooperate. Soon after, their line-up was expanded by two musicians, a bass guitarist, Sebastian Wojnowski, and a drummer, Paweł Markiewicz.

The first single recorded by the band saw the light of day in 2013. The song “Tylko be” then appeared in the series “Rodzinka.pl”, in which the actor played the role of Ludwik Boski. His wife, Małgorzata Kożuchowska, appeared in the music video for the song. In the same year, Pączki w Tłuszcz took part in the recording of the compilation “Faceci dla Dzieci”. 2017 brought the first major award in their career. The band was awarded a Famka by Radio Fama.

We had to wait a while for the band’s debut album. The album “LOVElas” was released on the phonographic market in 2018 and was released by Universal Music. The band presented several original songs that gained the favor of the listeners. Shortly afterwards, Pączki w Tłuszcz performed in the competition of the premiere of the Opole Festival, presenting the song “When the Reason Sleeps” from the repertoire of Budka Suflera.

In 2021, they also performed during the concert “Great Hits of the Small Screen” as part of the National Festival of Polish Song in Opole. This time they played “I’m so bad, I’m so gray” by Wojciech Gąssowski.
