Domestic violence is the focus of Banksy’s new work this Valentine’s Day

A graffiti of a housewife woman, in a 1950s-style dress, pushing her husband behind an old refrigerator with drawn legs sticking out, is the latest work by the urban artist banksy.

The drawing comes to life with the use of the old freezer, around which the mural has been created. As he lies on his back facing the piece, the man’s legs can be seen sticking out of the end.

By paying closer attention to the image, you can see that the woman in the drawing has one eye closed by a blow and is missing a tooth, turning the graffiti into a reference to the domestic violence against women on Valentine’s Day.

The mural, which appeared on a wall in the seaside town of Margate, in south-east England, is titled “Valentine’s Mascara”. Banksy emphasized the woman’s makeup that she uses to hide the bumps.

However, the local authorities removed the refrigerator when the drawing became known, which broke with the 3D effect.
