A judge orders the end of Britney Spears’ legal guardianship after 13 years

Judge Brenda Penny has ordered the end of the legal guardianship of the American singer Britney Spears immediately after 13 years.

This decision is made more than a month after the Superior Court of Los Angeles (USA) determined that his father would no longer be his legal guardian and declare temporary custody. At that time, the magistrate stated that the end of her father’s guardianship was “in the best interests of the ward.” The session, which lasted for almost three hours, featured a harsh exchange of positions between Britney’s lawyers and those of her father.

The legal representative of the artist, who was hired this summer thanks to an authorization from the judge, defended a strategy whereby he wanted the parent to be suspended to transfer guardianship to a public employee, John Zabel.
