“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” is to enter American cinemas on May 5, 2023. During the Super Bowl commercial break (i.e. the most expensive and prestigious commercial band of the year in the US), Marvel showed a new trailer for the film, in which James Gunn says goodbye to both the team of heroes and the studio.

Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Mantis, Nebula, Rocket and Groot have already faced various threats and enemies, including Thanos, who managed to annihilate half of the inhabitants of the entire universe. Although they have often managed to get out of really difficult situations unscathed, this time it can be really uninteresting.
The main opponent of the Guardians of the Galaxy in the third part of the series will be the character known from the comics as High Evolutionary or Herbert Edgar Wyndham. He is obsessed with genetic experiments and creating new, “perfect”, interspecies crosses. It was him who, during very painful procedures, led to the fact that the raccoon Rocket is the way we met him.
“My sacred mission is to create an ideal society,” says the villain played by actor Chukwudi Iwuji. Meanwhile, Rocket replies: He didn’t want to perfect anything, he just hates everything the way it is. The teaser clip promises that it won’t be easy to fight him:
The cast will reprise Chris Pratt, Karen Gillan, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista and Pom Klementieff. They were also joined by Will Poulter, who played Adam Warlock. In addition, Maria Bakalova voiced the space dog Cosmo.
Why is the title a farewell to the Guardians of the Galaxy team? James Gunn has been given a lucrative job as one of the bosses at rival DC Comics, which he has been managing with Peter Safran since November 2022. It was them who, shortly after it was announced that Henry Cavill would play Super-Man again, announced that they had other plans for this character and nothing from the return and assumptions of their predecessors.
James Gunn not only directed the third installment of Guardians of the Galaxy, he also wrote the screenplay. Star-Lord’s Chris Pratt, like the rest of the cast, is very emotional about this premiere. He already assures that it will not only be the best film in the director’s filmography, but also in the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe. Whether this is true, viewers will find out in the spring. Before that, they will be able to watch the third part of the adventures of Ant-Man in cinemas. “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantomania” in Polish cinemas from February 17.
