Do erotic heroines always have to orgasm? KN Haner: This greatest pleasure has to come

“Olivia lives in a loveless relationship. She has only sex and an unhealthy financial relationship with her partner. She loves her job and fulfills herself as an assistant to her elderly boss. She is not happy, but she hides it behind a smile learned over the years. Harry is the grandson of Olivia’s boss and his heir. He has just returned from a trip around the world to help his grandfather start the company. It turns out that the seemingly inaccessible and dry man meets a worthy opponent. Due to an unfortunate meeting in an elevator, he owes her a debt of gratitude, and she must keep a secret. going to Paris changes everything” – this is the description of her latest book, “The CEO”. KN Haner made her debut in 2015, “Director General” is her 39th published novel.

KN Haner: Back in the day, sex had to come pretty quickly

When I started writing books, sex in the novel had to appear quite quickly to interest the reader. Over the years and the number of these books, because it is probably in the thousands, because the market of moral literature is one of the fastest growing, this has changed. Of course, readers like, they look forward to these scenes, but now I pay more attention to building this tension. There doesn’t have to be sex on the second page or the second chapter, but the tension was built up enough to keep it interesting for the reader.

She emphasizes that her books are pure fantasy. In the next part of the series of conversations with writers, which can also be listened to as a podcast “Good Read, Good Listen” Publio.pl, she talks about what kind of men readers of romances and erotica like, and why the heroines – unlike in real life – always have an orgasm.

It’s not like that in real life, but I believe that if it’s supposed to be a fantasy that takes women to this most idealized world, then that greatest pleasure has to come. I want it to show, so that the woman is aware that this is such a culmination. I know that many women have a problem with this, that they have never achieved it, and it’s shocking to me that they can’t, for example, talk to their partner about it.

– A lot of women are ashamed of it, blame themselves, and in these books I want to show that maybe it’s not easy, because it starts in the head, but maybe we need to talk here, go to a specialist, work on it – she adds. She also mentions, for example, that she used to get flowers or chocolates from the husbands of her readers at book fairs, because after reading this type of book their sex life improves.
