Recently, more information has appeared in the media that Markowski is not feeling well and his health is unfortunately deteriorating. It is hardly surprising, this year the artist will celebrate his 70th birthday, and time is not kind even to rock stars.
Patrycja Markowska explained in an interview with Pomponik that she saw a decline in her father’s form and a slight withdrawal, but she claims that Markowski does not feel very bad.
“My dad had a dip in vitality, that’s for sure. He’s fine and I just encourage him to keep his wings up and actively do certain things. He agrees sometimes, but I have to respect that he wants to slow down. I can’t force him and persuade him to work, because he is old and I think that he has already sung so many sounds and played so many concerts that there is no point in doing it by force” – explains Patrycja Markowska.
Although regular concert tours and frequent live performances are out of the question for Markowski, the artist does not give up this form of meeting with fans yet. Markowska emphasizes that singing live still brings her father great joy, and she will continue to persuade him to play as often as possible.
“He’s a rock and roll man, he doesn’t complain, he’s brave. He sounds great when he goes on stage, I can see people’s reaction. We played in Wrocław, on Radio Wrocław and I swear, four people in the first row cried when they saw him, they really did! tears of emotion, hence my courage to sometimes take him somewhere” – says Markowski’s daughter.
The first reports of poor health and doubts about Markowski’s career appeared in April 2021. Then the singer announced to the fans that due to his health condition he would not be able to go on the farewell tour of the Perfect group “You have to know when to leave the stage”.
