The directors urresola and Felix Viscarret will compete in the Official Section of the Malaga Film Festival with its new films, “20,000 species of bees” and “A not so simple life”, two titles in which EITB participates.
Estibaliz Urresola Solaguren, who will compete beforehand in the Official Section of the Berlinale with the same film, presents his first feature film, whose script he also signed.
It is a story about diversity in the broadest sense of the word, it is produced by Lara Izagirre Garizurieta and Valérie Delpierre and has in its cast Patricia López Arnaiz, Ane Gabarain, Itziar Lazkano, Sofía Otero, Sara Cózar, Martxelo Rubio , Unax Hayden, Andere Garabieta and Miguel Garcés.
In the film, eight-year-old Cocó doesn’t fit the expectations of others and doesn’t understand why. Everyone around him insists on calling him Aitor but he doesn’t recognize himself in that name. Her mother Ane will take advantage of the holidays to travel with her three children to her mother’s house, where her mother Lita and her aunt Lourdes reside, closely linked to the breeding of bees. This summer that will change their lives will force these women from three very different generations to face their doubts and fears.
Félix Viscarret, for his part, returns to the official competition where he won the Golden Biznaga with “Under the stars” in 2007. He does so with “A life not so simple”.
This comedy about characters in the midst of a professional and generational crisis stars Miki Esparbé, Álex García, Olaya Caldera, Ana Polvorosa, Julián Villagrán and Ramón Barea.
Isaías (40) was a promising architect. He now spends his days between his architecture studio and the park outside the school, where his children play. Wherever he is, Isaías feels that he is not where he should be. With his wife, Ainhoa, he notices the passing of the years and how exhausting children can be. Isaías establishes a friendship with Sonia, the mother of another child at school, who will show him that raising your children and entering adult life is not that simple.
