It’s over (almost): this Saturday the first phase of COACbut the party continues. The qualifying phase of the Official Contest of Carnival Groups comes to an end this Saturday, with the last seven Carnival performances, half an hour each. Once the preliminary is over, the names of the groups that go to the quarterfinals will be known, as well as the scores of the groups that are left out.
For this last session at the Teatro Gran Falla in Cádiz are seven groupings scheduleds: a choir, a quartet (finally), two chirigotas and three troupes, who will take the stage in the following order:

And after that?
After this phase, the names of the groups that go to the next phase will be known, which is that of quarter finals. As the regulation indicates, the groups do not carry over the points obtained so far, so they all start on equal terms, all with 0 points. In the following phases, the points obtained in the previous passes will be added, so now is the time to put all the meat on the spit and bring out the best of their repertoires.
Of the groups that are left out yes the points will be knownbut until the end of the contest will not come to light the cluster scores still in contest. Of course, to get an idea of how they are progressing, there are the alternative juries, those of the Cádiz media, who with more or less success rate the performances of the chirigotas, comparsas, choirs and quartets that go on stage at the Gran Failure.
