What is the comedy “You’ve got fate!” about? During the wake after the funeral of his beloved grandfather, the family finds out that the numbers that the old man played all his life have just been drawn in the lottery. There is no time for despair and tears when the winning ticket is in the jacket. Three meters underground. Family and friends suddenly feel the need to see Grandpa again… The race for ideas, intrigues and tricks begins. The best way to share your fortune with as few others as possible. Man is basically good… but not when big money is involved!

Lovers of strong cinematic sensations will be interested in the horror film “Knocking on the door”. Eric and Andrew, along with their adopted daughter, are on vacation in a remote cottage. However, their holiday is interrupted by a robbery. One of the burglars, Leonard, claims that the apocalypse is imminent and that the family has been chosen to act. This will be the fifteenth film in the career of the creator of such films as “The Sixth Sense”, “Split” and “Old”. Shyamalan is also producing and writing the script.

“Lasse and Maja’s detective office. The secret of the scorpion” is a positive proposition for families. The town of Valleby is celebrating its 500th birthday in a few days. However, the celebration may be interrupted by a thief whose hallmark is… a scorpion. Another hard nut to crack ahead of the detective couple. Someone obviously wants the party to fail. A telescope goes missing from the Science Academy, fireworks go off prematurely, and a live scorpion goes missing from a jewelry store. Maja and Lasse have a few suspects… For people with sensory hypersensitivity, for whom a visit to the cinema may be a challenge, Helios invites you to the screening of this film also as part of the unique series of Sensory-Friendly Sessions on Saturday, February 4.

The animation “Mummies” is also waiting for young viewers. In Egypt, deep underground, there is a 3,000-year-old city of mummies. By royal command, Princess Nefer must marry Thut, but neither of these two are eager to do so. Nefer craves freedom, and Thut reacts allergically to any obligations. Is there no escape from the will of the gods?

The animation “The Amazing Cat Maurycy” is another family proposal in Helios’ repertoire. The titular Cat Maurycy devises the perfect scam. Supported by a “silent partner”, he tricks people into a supposed “plague of rats” that can only be overcome by the sound of a magic flute. The truth is, however, that rodents are Maurice’s buddies, and the instrument is enchanted only by name.

Special sessions

On Sunday, February 5 at 10:30 Helios invites you to another portion of film surprises. Then, as part of the Film Mornings series, a new set of fairy tales “Fireman Sam” will be presented. This warm animation conquers the hearts of small moviegoers around the world. The everyday life of the title character goes on peacefully, but sometimes there are various surprising situations and adventures. The screening of Film Mornings will traditionally be preceded by competitions and games in the cinema hall.

Two Polish productions are waiting for adult viewers. The first one is “Temptation”, which will bring a lot of cinematic impressions. Ambitious Inez dreams of a career as a journalist. When she gets a job at a website that tracks the lives of celebrities, she thinks the big world is at her fingertips. What she doesn’t expect, however, is how different it is from her imagination and how dangerous it can be! “Dangerous Gentlemen” is a Polish crime comedy. Tadeusz Boy-Żeleński, Witkacy, Joseph Conrad and Bronisław Malinowski wake up after a heavily drunk party. Heads are bursting, no one remembers anything, and the situation is not improved by the body of an unknown man found on the floor. In addition, the law enforcement officers are knocking on the door of the house, and this is only the beginning of the trouble.

On February 6, fans of the Koneser Cinema series will be able to see the highly rated, Oscar-nominated drama “Aftersun”. Young father Calum and his daughter Sophie go to a Turkish resort together. During their vacation together, they become closer than ever. The incredibly warm and touching debut of Charlotte Wells, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, has already won over 170 nominations and awards this season.
