The ‘Basque touch’ has been very present in the tenth edition of the Feroz awards held tonight in Zaragoza. The big winners have been the film ‘five little wolves‘, directorial debut from Biscay Alauda Ruiz de Azua and ‘As bestas’, directed by Rodrigo Sorogoyen and produced by Ibon Cormenzana from Biscay. They have each won three awards.

‘Five little wolves’ specifically won the awards for best script, best leading actress and best supporting actress.

In the series sectionThe route‘ Y ‘I don’t like to drive‘, have each been awarded three prizes. Borja Cobeaga He is the screenwriter and director of the latter.

This edition has been marked by the large female presence and by the tribute with the Feroz de Honor Award to Pedro Almodóvar, In his career, he has twenty-two feature films, two short films, two Oscars, one Ariel and numerous Goyas. Almodóvar called for quality public healthcare in his speech for the award.

The Fierce Prize to ‘best comedy film‘ has been granted to ‘official competition‘ by Argentine directors Mariano Cohn and Gastón Duprat, a look at the film industry with a cast like Antonio Banderas, Penélope Cruz and Óscar Martínez.

The Fierce Awards to ‘best drama film‘has been for’as beasts‘, directed by Rodrigo Sorogoyen and which narrates a conflict in the rural world.

The award forbest direction‘ has been for the Catalan director Carla Simón for ‘alcarràs‘.

The prize forBest screenplay‘ has gone to Alauda Ruiz de Azua for ‘five little wolfyes.

the one of ‘Best Leading Actor‘ has been for Nacho Sanchez for ‘manticore‘.

and the one of ‘Best Leading Actress‘ to Laia Costa for her role as mother in ‘five little wolves‘.

The best supporting actors have been Luis Zahera for ‘as beasts‘ Y Susi Sanchez for ‘five little wolves‘.

The award forBest Original Score’ has been for Oliver Arson for ‘as beasts‘. Similarly, the ‘best poster‘ has been signed by Carlos Vermut for ‘manticore‘ and the ‘Best Trailer’ the aragonesa marta longas for ‘little pig‘.

The award Fierce Outburstwhich extols the best of independent cinema and documentaries of the year, has ended up in the Non-Fiction category at ‘The visit and a secret garden‘, by Irene M. Borrego.

Finally, the statuette of Fiction has relapsed into’mercy‘, of edward casanova.

Series Awards

In the series chapter, the best dramatic audiovisual has been for ‘The route‘, by Borja Soler, and the producers Montse García, Eduardo Villanueva and Nacho Lavilla, who tries to break with the prejudices about that time and the movement around ‘bakalao’.

And in humor, critics have highlighted ‘I don’t like to drive‘, produced by Jose Skaf, Guillermo Farré, Nahikari Ipiña and Borja Cobeagawho is also the director and scriptwriter of this audiovisual that humorously narrates the experience of “getting your card”.

Juan Diego Botto has won the ‘Best Actor’ award for the series ‘I don’t like to drive and Claudia Salas for ‘La ruta’.

For its part, the award for ‘Best Supporting Actor in a Series’ went to the actor from ‘I Don’t Like Driving’ David Lorente; while the best female performer was Patricia López Arnaiz for ‘Intimacy’.
