Euskaraz irakurri: Mixel Etxekoparek jaso du Eusko Ikaskuntzaren eta Donibane Lohitzuneko hiriaren Ohorezko musika saria
With the aim of promoting adherence to music, in 2019 Eusko Ikaskuntza and the city of San Juan de Luz (Lapurdi) signed a new collaboration agreement. As a result, they created two new awards: the Honor Award and the Youth Award. Thus, this year the first award went to Mixel Etxekopar, dedicated to the search for Xiberotarra singing and dancing customs, and the second to Marina Beheretche.

The awards ceremony took place today, January 28, in the council room of the Herriko Etxea in San Juan de Luz. The honorary award intends to reward the exemplary career of a well-known person or group that in his career has participated in the knowledge and defense of music. On the other hand, the objective of the second prize is to value the trajectory of a young person or group so that they continue working around music.
