Camilo breaks the silence and denies raising his daughter as a non-binary person: “They took interviews where we referred to Indigo in a neutral way out of context”

When they found out they would become parents, they decided never to have ultrasounds to find out the sex of their baby; because they preferred to know it on the day of birth. Today, for the first time, the Colombian singer referred to the issue in a statement shared on his Instagram account.

“We deeply respect people who make this decision (to recognize their children as non-binary), but it is not our case. They took some videos of interviews out of context where we referred to Indigo in a neutral way because until the day she was born we never knew her sex because we never did ultrasounds,” the artist clarified that in March he plans two concerts in Ecuador.

“We thought not to pronounce ourselves on the matter, and to let it pass, as we have done the 50 times that they have said that our marriage is in crisis, that we are going to get divorced, etc… etc… but we found the number of messages disturbing of hate and judgment that we receive”continues in his statement.
