But interested people can discover these treasures in full thanks to #LaDigitalDelReinaa digital platform that integrates library material and works of art, “documentation contained in other departments,” says Santamarina.
It’s about a very careful process that is leading to the digital world pictures, exhibitions, books and all the material that the Reina Sofía keeps within its walls. For Santamarina, “the strength” of this platform is “the link that can be established between work of art and documentary material that completes that work“.
Isabel Bordes Cabrera, head of the Reina Sofía Museum’s Library and Documentation Center department, delves into the idea that the heritage they guard “belongs to everyone”, and all people “have the right to understand, to want to understand”.
