As a child he attended primary school in Ecuador, in his adolescence he attended secondary school in Brazil and then returned to Guayaquil, where he had previously settled, for his university studies.
“The social part was a bit hard for me, especially in my last years of school, because I did each year of high school in a different country. So it was the stage in which everyone consolidated their friendships and were excited to graduate with their promotion, an experience that I did not have ”, comments the now boy reality.
To the Philip At 17 years old, this did “hit” him a bit, but he says that now that he is older, he sees it from a different point of view because he has managed to have friends in various cities and various countries. “The final result brought me a lot of joy, I met a lot of people; although I think that the reinsertion in Brazil was easier than the reinsertion in Ecuador, because the people there are a little more open”.

Upon his return to Ecuador, Philip He started working in the middle. He pursued a career in journalism and was immediately linked to television. His beginnings were as a news presenter in ecuavisa where he left his mark, entertaining thousands of Ecuadorians. But each stage comes to an end and for him it was time to leave to look for international opportunities.
So he traveled to Brazil again, this time by personal choice, where he has lived for the last nine months practicing public relations for a multinational company. “I was in Sao Paulo and I decided to risk coming here to be part of I’m the best”, admits the communicator, who says he was “quiet, working there” when he received the call from CT.
When he arrived, he thought he would meet familiar faces, but he realized that it is another world. Philip, 24 years old, confesses that he likes to try new and different things that make him get out of his comfort zone. “At this point in my life, I think it’s time not to play it safe, jump in, take risks, experiment, live and try. If this opportunity that life brought me arose, why not?
Although he is in the same industry, now he plays different roles and that is something that has become very challenging for him. “I was on the other side for many years, asking questions and interviewing, now I am under the spotlight, as a talent on this television program. But I think that this is very aligned with my personality of launching myself to do new things ”, she relates.
What is something completely new for him and that he did not plan to do in the near future is dancing. “It is one thing to dance in the disco, another is to set up a Show, a staging, I’ve never done that in my life”, he says laughing. “There were comments of support, there were comments against, in favor of everything,” says the screen talent. Although her decision was questionable, he says he took it with his heart. “I listen to opinions and everything else, but I do what I consider to be the best and this was a totally emotional decision to want to return to doing what I love, which is television,” he says.
As for what viewers can expect from her choreography on the show, Philip says he is aware of public expectations. “I have read a lot that they want something new and not the same as always. My proposal is to offer something fresh, I want to explore interculturality a lot, which is part of my history and my personality. That’s why I started the program with a Brazilian theme, ”she says.
Another factor that motivates him to excel is his “zero” experience in dancing, as it pushes him to give his best. “At first I was afraid of feeling a little behind the rest, but when you’re inside, the atmosphere is very nice between us, it’s not all competitiveness,” he explains, adding between laughs that his dance team is very patient with him: “They repeat a step 35 times and I forget it”.
