Renovations in blocks of flats are always a nuisance for residents to some extent, especially if they are renovations carried out in staircases, where drilling, knocking and all other noise is carried much more than during renovation in a closed apartment. An additional problem arises when the renovation team does not fully comply with certain rules, which can lead to the shoe’s passion. One of our readers found out about it.

The housing cooperative had earlier informed the tenants about the renovation of the staircases. We were prepared for noise and mess at work, but I wasn’t ready for such Dante scenes. For two months, the staircases have been covered with a layer of white dust resembling flour. The rent is not low. Previously, a cleaning lady came, but now no one does it, because why? As tenants, we tried to clean our part, but it was no use, because the next day, the workers dust again. There are also cigarette butts in the hallway. However, this is not the only problem.
Repair crews come to their workstations with a loudspeaker and not just to listen to the radio in a polite way. Disco Polo is carried along the entire staircase and can be heard even in the elevator. Gentlemen are also not shy about singing. The postman who recently brought me a package was shocked when he saw how the renovation looks like. He looked at me knowingly in the eyes and said, “I’m sorry.” I tried to ask the gentlemen to turn it down and down a bit, but for a day. The next day, at eight o’clock, the party started again.
