Historic night for Spain in Eurovision. Despite not having achieved victory in the popular music contest, the performance of chanell has provoked a wave of applause and praise, managing to climb to third place in the ranking, only surpassed by Ukraine and the United Kingdom.
Europe has danced to the rhythm of ‘SloMo‘. So much so that up to eight countries have given us their 12 points as congratulations for the performance of the Spanish delegation at this festival. Those countries have been Portugal, North Macedonia, Malta, San Marino, Armenia, Ireland, Sweden and Australia.
In total, Chanel has added 459 points, leaving far behind the 125 achieved by Mocedades in 1973 and which were the record for our country at the festival. This third place is the second we achieved, after Bravo in 1984 for ‘Lady Lady’.
Chanel has gathered practically the same number of votes by the jury (231) as by the televote (228), giving a good account of how complete its performance has been. Ukrainefor its part, has achieved 631 voteswhile United Kingdom has stayed in 466remaining second.
