Marek Kondrat in a sincere confession. “I’m tired of age. I have no motivation”

Marek Kondrat is one of the most popular Polish actors. He played in cult films such as “Killer”, “Two Killers” or “Day of the Wacko”. His decision to leave the profession met with astonishment of the viewers. Today, the actor devotes himself to the family in developing the wine business. Privately, he is associated with Antonin Turnau.

Marek Kondrat wanted a peaceful life. He decided to move to Spain

The relationship caused much controversy. The actor’s chosen one is 39 years younger than him. The couple got married in 2015 and had a daughter, Helena. In a recent interview, Marek Kondrat said that the decision to quit the acting profession and move to was dictated by the admiration for a slower lifestyle.

Spain came from the same thing as business: from fascination. It is pure delight. Similar energy that an actor feels. Delight with the view, which you suddenly find time to watch under the influence of a different, unhurried culture. (…) I need this admiration, perhaps for this reason I became an actor in the first place. It turned out that I can find a similar energy as in acting when dealing with wine, with the difference that there is no balloon effect.

Marek Kondrat seems happy with the life he leads, but admits that his only problem is his age. He is tired and has less motivation to act.

I’m tired of age. I already have less motivation to travel the world. My Spanish home was supposed to be for a carefree old age. I went to this place with my former business partner and I had a desire, a feeling of paradise, imagining the coming old age, and there is no better place on earth to live there. Anyway, I was always old, probably already as a child, and I promised myself the more after this stage in my life.

Marek Kondrat does not plan to return to acting. He rarely goes to the theater and cinema

The actor also adds that he still lives permanently in Poland. For now, she can forget about her peaceful life in , mainly because of her daughter Helena, who attends kindergarten in Poland.

So we come to our house twice a year, rarely enough that it will probably have to be sold. I don’t stick to walls. (…) In Spain we live in a fantastic, beautiful place under the mountains, but in the middle of nowhere. I needed an hour each way to drive Helena to kindergarten. And I wasn’t planning on spending my life in a car. All this has nothing to do with Helenka’s further future. We will be where it will be worth living.

The last time he appeared on the big screen was in 2010 in the film “MaÅ‚a matura 1947”. He has no plans to return to work. He admitted that he does not visit the theater or the cinema.

All I have left of this kind of culture is books. Yes, I am a troglodyte in that sense. Is it a loss? In my case, it’s more like material fatigue. Trigger. Something that takes me back to a place in my life where it was very difficult.
