Cowell wanted to give the blind veteran not a gold but a platinum button. These moves!

“America’s Got Talent” is one of the most popular TV shows in the world. The first episode was broadcast on June 21, 2006 and since then the format has had local versions in 69 countries around the world. The first season of America’s Got Talent: All-Stars is currently airing in the United States, featuring the winners, finalists and viewer favorites from past seasons of America’s Got Talent as well as the rest of America’s Got Talent from around the world.

“The golden button is not enough!”

In the fourth week of preliminary auditions, Robert Finley, a blind veteran who participated in the 14th season of the American edition of the show, appeared on the show. He then managed to reach the semi-finals.

With his appearance on “All-Stars”, Finley reminded everyone of his signature blues sound and amazing stage presentation. He performed his own song “Souled Out On You”, which the audience liked very much. Also, all the jurors got up from their chairs and started to applaud the man’s performance.

Howie Mandel, after a great performance, turned to the man and said to him: “You made absolutely everyone here want to stand on their feet.” However, much more surprising words came from the mouth of another juror, i.e. Simon Cowell:

I wish I had a platinum button now. Gold is not good enough for your performance. I’m serious, it was amazing

However, despite praise from the judges and great popularity among the show’s viewers, Finley failed to advance to the finals of the show. On Monday, it was announced that the finalists were the Power Duo formation, which won the Philippine edition of “Got Talent” and Aidan McCann, who was a finalist in the 14th edition of the British format.
