The former TVN program director started working for the competitive Polsat in mid-January 2023 and has since made several widely commented decisions, including regarding the changes of the hosts or jurors in the popular show “Your Face Sounds Familiar”, with which Katarzyna Skrzynecka, Michał Wiśniewski and Piotr Gąsowski parted. Another change also concerns the popular program, but it is more radical. Goes off the antenna.

The changes included the dating show “Love Island. The Island of Love”. However, it is known that another season is planned. In the seventh season by 100 thousand. PLN participants will fight in sunny Spain. It turns out that it will premiere on another station.

The new season of the show will strengthen the spring programming offer of Czwórka. This is the beginning of changes planned for this antenna. We will provide details soon.

– said Edward Miszczak, announcing further changes. The reason for the decision to transfer the program to TV4 is to “make the schedule of other channels belonging to Polsat more attractive”. Previous seasons could also be watched via the Internet service Ipla in parallel to broadcasting on television.

What are the rules of a dating show?

The sixth edition ended in October 2022. Based on the British format, the format involves competition between ten participants. The experiment involves 5 women and 5 men who spend several weeks in a luxury villa without access to mobile phones, the Internet and other forms of contact with loved ones. They can only use a special application that allows them, among others, to create probes or eliminate a selected person.

Candidates pair up. In each episode, they can decide to change their partner or stay with the current one. Unlike the competing “Hotel Paradise”, “Love Island” is more focused on ensuring that the relationships started in the program survive also after the end of the broadcast. The Polish edition is run by Karolina Gilon.

The premiere of the seventh season will take place in spring 2023 on TV4.
