The audiovisual content platform, TikTokconstantly features funny videos that become popular, although there are those who debate that some of these trends are not so ‘friendly’. The latest joke that is going around in the application has the mothers of families registered as victims.

It is a joke where sons tell their moms that their favorite artist has passed away for an invented reason. This being false, they record the reaction of their mothers who, for the most part, respond tragically, which causes laughter among the viewers.
A clear example is this video by @merrygonzlz where he tells his mother that the Mexican singer, Carlos Rivera, would have died in a car accident at the age of 35. Her mother immediately replies “don’t suck” and she continues to cry.
On this occasion, the same Carlos Rivera responded to the video, leaving the comment: “Even it made me cry wey, send him a kiss from my living self!”. Other videos with hundreds of thousands of views involve artists such as: Tom Cruise, Luis Miguel, Chayanne, Ana Gabriel, Marco Antonio Solisamong others.

The success of this trend is that it has gone viral because of the comments that people leave, mostly laughing.
