The mat has never opened like this before. He raps about four suicide attempts

entered the music industry with impetus when in 2019 he published the first single “Patointeligencja”. The song gained 1.5 million views on YouTube in two days, today the music video has been viewed about 65 million times. Young Matczak has since released two studio albums, broken several sales records, received two Fryderyks and announced that he would become president.

It is difficult to say whether Mata’s declarations and “campaign” are just a kind of promotion of his music, or maybe a real vision of a political career spun by the rapper. What is certain, however, is that Matczak does not stop rapping. In late 2022, he posted two new pieces with emoticons instead of titles. Some time later, he became involved in the production of the number “BIERNIK (who? what?)” with artists such as DJ Decks and WoLa. On January 16, the music video for Mata’s new single “Młody Paderewski” was released. A week later, Matczak made a piece of a completely different character.

Mata presents the reflective single “2 IZOTEKI”

The reflective track “2 IZOTEKI” (izotek – is a drug for acne used by patients who have not been treated with other methods of treatment. It is a drug containing a synthetic derivative of vitamin A) is Mata’s memories from her school days. The rapper says that his life has not always looked like what his fans might imagine. The creator shares his personal experiences with listeners, talks about harassment, acne problems, lack of success, acceptance, self-confidence and the environment that never believed in him.

Matczak emphasizes that he dealt with his problems by listening to music. However, it was much easier for him to drown out the words of his peers in the school corridor than to get rid of his own thoughts. Most shockingly, Mata confesses that once again someone sent him a message advising the rapper to commit suicide. The artist mentions that he has already tried to do it four times in the past.

“Again someone texted me to kill myself.
I tried four times already, because I couldn’t do it anymore,
Look at my flaws.” Mata raps.

The song can be a great support for Mata’s listeners. The piece gives hope and uplifts the spirit, proves that it is not worth giving up even in the most difficult moments in life. The last frame of the clip contains information about where to look for help in times of crisis.

The comments under the rapper’s animated music video may prove that young people really need similar pieces, and contrary to the stereotypical opinion, they do not live completely thoughtlessly.

“I’m at a difficult age (17) and honestly, this song has really cheered me up when I’m behind all that high school fucking wilderness that everyone goes through. Respect Michał.”

“Izotek saved my face, and now the mat saved my day with a note about isotek.”

“That feeling when a mat song describes a part of your life.”

“I’m after a suicide attempt and I understand this song like hell. Great job promoting the helpline. The pain that is inside us, the pain we want to escape from will pass to those around us in a certain way. It never was and never will be. it will be the way out.”
