Andrzej Seweryn on star pensions: “I am sorry and ashamed”
The editors of Pudelek asked for a comment on the well-known actor. The artist replied ambiguously:
“I think it would be inappropriate for me, who has been working very hard for 55 years, to share with you my reflections on my retirement because it could be very misunderstood. I do not feel empowered by myself to debate publicly on this subject”.
After a while, however, he added that he was worried about the situation of his colleagues. He admitted that, in his opinion, the fault lies with the system.
“I am very sorry if my colleagues experience the situations you quote to me and at the same time I am ashamed that they had the misfortune to work in such a system in this aspect” – adds Seweryn.
Celebrities and their pensions. What benefits do celebrities receive?
Many stars have a different opinion than Seweryn and are very willing to talk about the amount of benefits due. The 72-year-old singer is to receive a pension of PLN 1,000 a month. Marek Piekarczyk is in a much worse situation, who did not pay pension contributions, and ZUS calculated that after resigning from professional activity, the singer would receive PLN 7.77 from the state per month. “I framed this letter and hung it on the wall,” reveals Piekarczyk.
In turn, Katarzyna Dowbor has no comments on the amount of the benefit after 30 years of professional work. The journalist declares that she is able not only to support herself from her pension, but also to help her relatives.
The amount of the benefit is also kept by Grażyna Wolszczak, who, like Andrzej Seweryn, does not want to talk about the amount in the media. The actress emphasizes that she sympathizes with her colleagues in the industry, but she was reasonable herself and protected herself against system errors.
