The fourth edition of “The Voice Senior” started on January 7, 2023. The jury, which this year consists of Maryla Rodowicz, Piotr Cugowski, Alicja Węgorzewska and Tomasz Szczepanik, auditioned exceptional candidates, including friend of Krzysztof Krawczyk. The favorite, however, quickly became Adam Wroński, whom the viewers met in the last episode of the show. It was he who made one of the jurors feel disappointed.
Decades of experience
Wroński’s successful performance is the result of several decades of stage experience. He began his adventure with big stages as a 17-year-old, when in 1972 he entered the “Microphone for All” competition. He was also twice a participant in the Festival of Soldiers’ Song in Kołobrzeg and the Festival of Soviet Songs, where in 1977 he won the Bronze Samovar. The passion for musical duels did not die out with age and Wroński decided to try his hand at this year’s edition of “The Voice Senior”. He performed a difficult piece from the repertoire of the Dżem group – “Sen o Victoria”, thanks to which he managed to turn all the chairs around and get a standing ovation.
Above all, Piotr Cugowski did not hide his admiration.
And that’s the voice! I believed that you would control your nerves, and you did. You sang brilliantly. You are a piece of voice and you are among the elite participants here.
commented the judge. He admitted that it was very important to him to have a talented vocalist in his team. However, it happened otherwise.
Szczepanik’s words convinced him
Although none of the jurors spared him compliments, Wroński decided to succumb to the persuasion of Tomasz Szczepanik. The leader of the Pectus group referred to the participant’s talent in a poetic way.
Someone once said that a bird sitting on a branch is not afraid of falling, not because it does not trust the branch, but because it does not trust the wings. You are a strong, artistic bird that spreads its wings to fly high. You are an artistic soul.
– argued Szczepanik and finally it was Wroński who joined his team, to the surprise of the audience. Most viewers bet that he would choose Cugowski as his coach. The singer himself is of the opinion that he lost the fight for the participant due to the lack of eloquence skills.
But he got me. No soap. Pity. I’m not as eloquent as Tomasz, who told him something. I have to learn that too.

Adam Wroński will certainly be a strong candidate in Szczepanik’s team. The singer still earns money from music – he plays in a hotel restaurant twice a week, and before that he was associated with the Flotilla band for 2 years, with whom he played almost 700 concerts. For a long period he also worked as a singing teacher. The finale of “The Voice Senior” is scheduled for February 11, 2023.
