The host of “Question for Breakfast” got into an argument with the guests. Reason? Alcohol at prom

In the Monday edition, i.e. January 23, 2023, there was a stormy exchange of views between the host, Łukasz Nowicki, and the guests of the program. The subject of discussion was the presence of alcohol during the prom.

Nervous atmosphere in the “Question for breakfast” program. On-air brawl

Łukasz Nowicki and Małgorzata Opczowska held a discussion with the guests about the presence of alcohol during the prom. On the breakfast couch sat m.in. influencer, Aria Martelle, who was a participant of this type of event several times. In an interview with the hosts, she admitted that from her experience alcohol is present during the prom. “They’re practically all adults, so I don’t think there’s anything wrong with them drinking alcohol. The teachers turned a blind eye to it, and some partied with us. I think it’s that one night when the teachers take it easy – girl.

Her words slightly outraged the journalist Katarzyna Jaworska, who was also a guest of the program. As a mother of five, she noticed that nowadays young people are increasingly struggling with addictions, and this approach only makes the problem worse. – The problem of addiction to alcohol and drugs in general is not uncommon among young people. They cannot be exposed just because someone wants to drink at the prom, Jaworska said. However, the influencer was not convinced, claiming that the students did not comply with the bans anyway.

A stormy discussion in the “Question for breakfast” program. The presenter expressed his opinion live

Łukasz Nowicki decided to support Martelle’s position. The presenter noted that the common trend is for proms to be held in hotels rather than schools, and therefore banning alcohol is not an option. “I’m specifically the devil’s advocate.” I’m 18, I have an ID, I’m going to the hotel, I want a glass of wine, why not? he asked the guests. Listening to the conversation, Krzysztof Maksymow, director of the 5th Secondary School in Warsaw, decided to join the discussion, adding that in such a situation it is important to trust between students and teachers.

Of course, the host decided to correct his earlier statements, saying that he did not intend to promote alcohol, but in his opinion, bans can have the opposite effect. – I fight against bans, they don’t work. In my life, if something was forbidden, I really liked to break these bans – he said, to which Jaworska replied that “it is important to set boundaries for young people”. Nowicki was indignant at these words. “These are adults, what’s the limit?” We’re not here to set boundaries for 18-year-olds,” he said, clearly annoyed. – He is nominally of legal age, but in fact he is not independent – the journalist summed up diplomatically.
