After 50 years, they recreated the wedding photos. “The most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen”

Kelly and Carolyn Gay said “I do” on March 12, 1971. Throughout their 50 years of marriage, they shared many beautiful moments. They welcomed 3 into the world and now also have four grandchildren. However, there was no shortage of adversities that they faced together. Kelly has had a kidney transplant and Carolyn has battled breast cancer. On the occasion of the wedding’s 50th anniversary, which took place in 2021, they decided to recreate the wedding photos.

Is there anything better than a happy couple after 50 years of marriage, looking lovingly at each other as if it was their first day? I hope you can see it in the photos.

– summed up photographer Sam Hoyle from Two Hoyles Photography, who did the shoot.

After 50 years, they recreated wedding photos. Carolyn has been preparing for this for 3 years

Not only the photographer, but also Kelly and Carolyn made sure that every detail was reproduced in the best possible way. The woman is wearing the dress she wore on , and she has been growing her hair out for 3 years to bring it to the same length as it was 50 years ago. For the session, they also went to the same church where they made their marriage vows.

The couple even kept receipts from their wedding day, which show that Carolyn paid just over $46 for the dress at the time. The effects of the session can be admired on the photographer’s fanpage.
